                                                              We Come Apart

We come apart is an amazing book Co-written by Sarah Crossan and Brian Conaghan. It is written from two separate perspectives Jess’s and Nicu’s.

Nicu.

Nicu is a Romanian immigrant who has come with his father and mother to London, so his father can earn enough money to pay for a wife for Nicu ( even though Nicu does NOT want to get married).

Jess.

Jess is a normal teenager who lives with her mum and Terry. Terry is one of the only things Jess is afraid because whenever she does something wrong her mum gets the blame for “raising Jess wrong” and so Terry beats her black and blue.

Nicu and Jess are very different people. So what will happen when they meet? All you have to do is read the book and find out. I would recommend this book to any fans of the two writers previous work( obviously) but also anyone looking for an excellent read.

P.S. I would like to point out that this book (as well as some of Sarah Crossan’s previous books such as One and The Weight of Water) is written in verse which I found amazing!!
