The Mother Daughter Book Club by Heather Vogel Frederick was an inspiring book. It is based on Louisa May Alcott’s Little Women. When Emma, Cassidy and Megan’s mothers and Jess’ Dad want to set up a book club the girls think it is a terrible idea. But as they get further into the fantastic book they’re reading (Little Women) it becomes more important to them. They go from being completely different people who never talk to each other to becoming best friends.
The book club gets the girls through many troubles and in doing that draws them closer together.
I would recommend this book to girls from 10 up.
